Holy Trinity Church, Leeds

Restoration works and full lighting design on one of Leeds most recognizable landmarks.

This incredible Grade 1 listed landmark is situated in the heart of Leeds on Boar Lane and in 2020 in the peak of the pandemic, began an extensive renovation that would enhance not only the appearance, but also the usability of this community and arts hub.

MBL were brought in as the electrical contractor to consult, design and install both external and internal lighting on this challenging and complex project. Being an 18th Century building with such historical significance, we employed numerous techniques to retain originality and the fabric of the building, always working with preservation in mind. Externally, discrete modern flood lighting was employed to highlight the restored stonework and show off the building in all its glory.

On the interior, upgraded power was installed along with a lighting scheme that enhanced the fantastic original features and monuments. The team were both proud and honoured to be able to be involved with such a project and help the church regain its place among Leeds’s finest places of worship.
